Director of Logistics, Cando Rail Services
Corrie has been with Cando Rail Services since October 2107. At Cando, she is a logistics expert leading the development of Quasar a rail supply chain optimization platform. She was also recognized as one of the “Top 100 Influential Women in Supply Chain” in 2019. Corrie’s history includes, Canadian Pacific Railway, Canadian Pacific Logistics Solutions, Parmalat Canada, and Triskele Logistics – which she co-founded.
Vice-President, Public and Government Affairs
Appointed October 2018. Fiona has been with CN since 1992 and has held many senior roles at CN: Account Manager (Metals and Minerals), Director of Sales (M&M and Petroleum & Chemicals), Assistant Vice-President Sales (P&C), AV-P Sales and Marketing (P&C), and AV-P Sales and Marketing (Industrial Products), and Vice-President, Corporate Marketing in May 2012, and was Vice-President, Industrial Products since March 2016. In May 2020, the Railway Association of Canada (RAC) announced the election of Fiona Murray as Chairperson of its Board of Directors.
Like many industries in supply chain, rail has always been considered a ‘mans’ job. That is changing, and fast. Increasingly, women are not just in rail, but they are in senior roles. They are not just working in rail but creating change and advancement in all sectors.
Our September Dinner by Demand will have two such people. Corrie Banks, Director of Supply Chain for Cando Rail Services, and Fionna Murray, Vice-President, Public and Government Affairs, will be our presenters.
Corrie has been in rail at different times throughout her career. She has held other supply chain roles and been an entrepreneur as well. Join us to hear how Corrie has navigated her career, been a mother of twins and still created an impact on her current industry.
Fiona Murray has been with CN since 1992 and has held many senior positions at CN. Her passion and commitment to Rail and the women in the industry has been recognized Nationally. Though her commitment is to everyone at CN and their partners, she recognizes the need to encourage and grow those who would not consider Rail as a career.
Make sure to join us as we hear these women’s stories.
