The WISC Association is happy to have Brian Springer, Vice-President, Transport from Loblaw Companies Limited complete this series. Brian will provide a view of Loblaw’s Diversity and Inclusion program which includes a dedicated initiative to support the growth and advancement of women in the business. Brian will also share how Loblaw is working to ensure the timely transportation of food and gifts so we are ready for
the Christmas season, including having those milk and cookies ready for Santa!

Dinner by Demand
Purpose:
The series title ‘Dinner by Demand’ is a late afternoon, early evening series, depending on our presenters home base, where we invite you to join us – virtually – as you enjoy your dinner, or meal of choice, relaxed at the location of your choice.

Topic: Leading through challenging times; Leveraging a crisis for positive change

Brian Springer is Vice-President, Transport at Loblaw Companies Limited.

Brian’s team is responsible for managing transport operations for all outbound retail deliveries and integrated inbound activities, including produce operations from the US.

Brian joined Loblaw in 2002 to run the transport operations at the Cambridge distribution centre and has held progressively senior roles since joining the team, until becoming a Vice-President in 2010.

Brian is an avid soccer fan and enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, along with friends and family, at his northern Ontario cottage. He currently calls Burlington his home, where he has lived for the last 30 years.

Loblaw is Canada’s food and pharmacy leader. With a network of corporate and independently- operated stores in communities across the country, the company owns and operates a fleet of over 300 tractors and 2,500 trailers, and employs over 600 company drivers, with a large reaching partnership with over 200 carriers in North America. Loblaw’s purpose – Live Life Well – supports the needs and well-being of Canadians who make one billion visits each year to the company’s stores.
