WISC Events
The Women in Supply Chain (WISC) Association, with the input from our Associates and Supporters, will be organizing evening, morning, and weekend events, as well as conferences and unique, out-of-the-box events that give members as many opportunities to connect as possible, while also meeting their various interests and needs.
How Tech helped or hindered us in 2020, what we need to prepare for in 2021 and forward, why it is critical that we all embrace technology.
The life and career Tests that came from 2020, how we will take these lessons into 2021, and what changes we will make as a result.
Our Triumphs from 2021 and how they will make 2021 more successful, how they defined our careers and the industry, and why we must cheer on women in all their successes.
We want to address how women and marginalized communities, especially due to COVID-19, face unreasonable barriers and obstacles – how many leaders have taken steps and created initiatives to overcome these challenges, and how we must all work together to encourage and support our peers for success in supply chain, and for supply chain.
Introduce Women in Supply Chain (WISC) Association Supporters who have made an impact, how they can share their story to encourage others, what needs to change, what is being and still needs to be done.
“WISC and Wine” A casual event focusing on networking. We invite attendees to join us for conversations over a glass of wine, or cocktail, while we listen to a presenter on an important topic facing our careers and/or industry.
“Dinner by Demand” Hosted on the third Thursday of the month. These will have key presenters who will focus on the WISC 2021 theme. Presenters will share how they have created their journey, how they see supply chain in the industry they are in (agriculture, trucking, procurement, warehouse, manufacturing,
“Monday Motivator” a coffee connection, first Monday morning of each month. A motivational topic will be set each month that gives the participants something positive and food for thought. The morning will consist of having coffee conversations around how the previous month went, and how we see the coming month going. This event is an opportunity to share successes, challenges, and support.
“Tech Tuesday” A mid-day – around lunch hour – event hosted once per quarter on the second Tuesday of the month. These are short presentations around new technology, embracing technology, future of technology – focusing on what is being discussed in supply chain – followed by discussion.
“Development Days” events that teach, test, and revitalize us – develop us and our community: physical challenges – hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, skating, golfing, biking, horseback riding; physical and mental strengthening – yoga, boot camp, marathon training, meditation, stress management. These will be organic and develop with the engagement of the membership.
