What People Say
I first came with the assumption that I would find business leads, what I learned was that the more I gave and contributed, the more I received. Personally, and professionally. Women in Supply Chain allowed me to network with industry leaders who have guided me on best practices, latest trends, and new technology in the Supply Chain industry. This information has helped me grow as a consultant. I have been able to build long term partnerships with organizations to assist them with building their talent pool. I have built long term friendships that went outside of my professional life; these friends have introduced me to others I have been able to offer my skills. I’ve met numerous “leaders of the future” and it has allowed me to give back to the community in assisting them with career guidance.
WISC is a great way to network with others in the industry. The events are always engaging and empowering. Always a great time for everyone that attends!
The Women in Supply Chain Association (formerly an initiative) is an organization that gives students, job seekers and professionals the opportunity to explore opportunities and educate them about supply chain career opportunities through their events. It is an invaluable resource in the Calgary (and area) community as it brings together industry, education and also women who can be students, professionals, job seekers and from various underrepresented groups e.g. newcomers, indigenous, mature workers. The speakers at their events are leaders in their organizations. I am thrilled this organization is continuing.
Women in Supply Chain is more than an event, it's more than networking, it's a community. The team that is WISC is a vital element of Canada’s Supply Chain. I highly recommend being a part of the WISC community.
